Live Tax Resolution Training

Look beyond FTA for penalty relief and learn how to get the BIG penalty abatements due to reasonable cause criteria for your clients.

Penalties: The bane of every tax debt case.

Looking beyond the customary First Time Abatement (FTA), this 2-hour webinar will take a deep dive into reasonable cause criteria that can help you get massive amounts of penalties removed on behalf of your clients.

We will cover all reasonable cause criteria under the IRM, plus take a special exploration of meeting “undue economic hardship” criteria while also establishing the exercise of “ordinary business care and prudence”. Yes, it’s possible, and on this webinar you’ll learn how!

In addition, all attendees will receive a copy of Jassen’s penalty abatement letter template during the live presentation. I normally charge $97 just for a copy of this letter. This template took hundreds of hours to develop, and has directly resulted in the removal of millions of dollars in IRS penalties by myself and other practitioners. We will go through this proven template letter for demonstrating economic hardship, discussing the basis in IRC and case precedent for the positions taken.

Lastly, we’ll discuss how to gather information from your client for the application, and how to turn that information into a compelling argument for penalty abatement.

Course Objectives

  • Understand the reasonable cause criteria for penalty abatement.
  • Definse the various reasonable cause criteria.
  • Apply undue economic hardship criteria to specific unique penalty cases.
  • Cite case law relevant to penalty abatement.
