I’ve also got a bonus Tax Marketing Tip for you, to even better leverage the articles I’ve written for you. In short, use that article to create a YouTube video and post it.
There are a couple ways you can do this. The easiest is simply to record yourself in front of a camera. Don’t necessarily read the article word for word, be a bit more conversational about it, and definitely add your own commentary. This is the easiest way to create a two to five minute YouTube video which can help you get new web site traffic and leads.
You can record a video like this using the web cam built directly into your computer screen or laptop, or even using a tablet or smartphone. I don’t really like being on camera, but when I am, it’s usually recorded just using the camera on my iPod Touch, as it works just fine for this purpose.
I often say that I have a face made for radio, and a voice made for print, which is why I’m primarily a writer. If you’re like me in that regards, you can still create a video, but just use PowerPoint to create a few slides (it doesn’t need to be many unique slides), and record yourself presenting the article content. You can make the slides out of just the primary idea in each paragraph of the article, and a few bullet points from the individual sentences. It should only take a few minutes to deconstruct the article in this way.
Either way, post this YouTube video, and include the URL to your web site at the very beginning of the video description. Change the article title from what I’ve provided, both for your blog and for YouTube purposes (you want to write something unique).
This whole process should literally take no more than 15 to 20 minutes, and you’ll end up with an “evergreen” marketing piece up on the world’s 2nd largest search engine (YouTube) for people to see.
Quick tip for using the articles on blogs: Use these as a starting point. Add your own points, change the title, create your own introduction. Do this to make the article sound more like you, but to also avoid duplicate content penalties from Google. Remember, there are other subscribers using this same article, so change it up a bit.
